Recent 2021 US open champion Emma Raducanu has received a Wildcard into BNP Paribas Open starting next Wednesday.

Emma Raducanu will be returning to the courts soon. Goodbye, red carpet events, Hello, back on my TV screen again hitting a green fluffy ball.

As the entry list for this event was drawn before her US Open run, before receive this WC she had been placed in Qualifiers, to have the champion of a Grand Slam partaking in Qualifying rounds seems kind of silly and it was about time they announced this.

Emma Raducanu, at only 18 years old, did something very few could have predicted, winning the US open title (I was rooting for her from the very start just so you know). Representing the United Kingdom, Raducanu, half Romanian, half Chinese, takes the win against 19 year old Canadian Leylah Fernandaz for the trophy. This final was one to remember as it was exclusively teens. AND first ever qualifier to win a grand slam.**honestly i still cant comprehend how big of an achievement it was and to be able to watch that happen live was amazing**

Her run in Indian Wells would very well also result in a second career title:

All jokes aside, hoping Emma has a wonderful run in the upcoming events, which begins Mon, 4 Oct 2021 until Sun, 17 Oct 2021. (Wed, 6 Oct is when main draws begin)
